The K-MAX Rotary Control Valve has improved on the performance and durability of traditional rotary control valves with the addition of these features:

BI-DIRECTIONAL FLOW CAPABILITY

The normal flow direction for clean liquids, gases, and steam is flow to open (flow into the face of the plug). The recommended flow direction for erosive and slurry service is flow to close (flow into
the backside of the plug). Shutoff class is maintained in either flow direction.

ECCENTRIC ROTARY PLUG ACTION

The K-Max plug is offset to the shaft centerline. This allows
the plug to break free of the seat ring immediately upon initial rotation of the shaft. Since there is no sliding contact between the plug and the seat ring throughout travel, seat ring life and shutoff integrity are greatly enhanced.
